These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PBK & Friends website at pbkboarding.com and the bird boarding services provided by PBK & Friends LLC ("PBK & Friends," "we," "us," or "our"). By using our site or booking a stay, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our services

PBK & Friends provides in-home boarding for medium-to-large parrots in Tampa, Florida. To give each bird individualized care, we board a maximum of three birds at a time, so all reservations are subject to availability.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and the owner (or authorized agent of the owner) of any bird you place in our care.

3. Reservations & confirmation

Submitting a booking request through our site or by phone/email is a request, not a guaranteed reservation. A stay is confirmed only when we confirm it with you. We may decline or cancel a booking at our discretion — for example if space is unavailable or a bird is not a suitable fit for our care.

4. Health & wellness requirements

You represent that your bird is in good health and is not showing signs of contagious illness at drop-off. You agree to disclose any medical conditions, behavioral issues, allergies, or special needs in advance, and to provide any medications with clear instructions. We may request veterinary information and may decline to board a bird that appears ill.

5. Owner responsibilities

• Provide accurate information about your bird, its diet, medications, and routine.
• Supply any specialty food, supplements, or items your bird requires, as agreed.
• Provide a reachable emergency contact and confirm your dates in advance.
• Authorize us to seek veterinary care in an emergency, at the owner's expense, if you cannot be reached.

6. Pricing, payment & cancellation

Each stay is quoted individually based on your bird, its diet, and the length of the visit. Payment terms, any deposit, and our cancellation policy will be provided to you at the time of booking and form part of these Terms once you confirm your reservation. Because our availability is limited, we ask that you notify us as early as possible if you need to change or cancel a stay.

7. Assumption of risk & limitation of liability

Boarding any animal carries inherent risks. While we provide attentive, behavior-focused care, you acknowledge these risks and agree that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, PBK & Friends LLC is not liable for illness, injury, escape, or loss that is not caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct, including conditions that were pre-existing or not disclosed. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability relating to a stay is limited to the amount you paid for that stay.

8. Live camera feed

When available during a confirmed stay, the private live camera feed is provided "as is" for your convenience and may be interrupted or unavailable at times. It is not a substitute for our in-person care. You agree not to record, republish, or share the feed without our consent.

9. Abandonment

If a bird is not picked up within a reasonable time after the agreed checkout and you cannot be reached despite our efforts, the bird may be deemed abandoned and we may take appropriate steps for its welfare, at the owner's expense, as permitted by law.

10. Website use & intellectual property

The content, design, and branding on this site are owned by PBK & Friends LLC and may not be copied or used without permission. You agree to use the site lawfully and not to disrupt or misuse it.

11. Disclaimers

The website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the revision. Your continued use of the site or services means you accept the updated Terms.
